You'd be hard pressed to find many better golfers than Arnold Palmer, and Bay Hill is every bit as iconic as the man himself. Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill Club & Lodge is widely regarded as one of the best golf resorts in America, a place 'The King' called home and turned into a proper championship test.
There are 27 holes here, split across three nine-hole loops: the Champion, the Challenger and the Charger. The Champion and Challenger nines form the course used for the Arnold Palmer Invitational on the PGA Tour, so you're playing a layout that's set up to challenge the very best. Expect plenty of water, strategic bunkering and greens that reward a confident short game.
Bay Hill is also brilliantly placed for a golf holiday that mixes rounds with the Orlando highlights. The golf resort is located in central Florida, under 30 minutes from Orlando International Airport. International Drive is close by, and the big theme parks are around 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic if you want to blend golf with everything Florida does so well.
Who is this for?
Golfers and groups who want a PGA Tour venue with on-site rooms, dining facilities and practice areas, plus easy access to Orlando.
Who is it best for?
Players who enjoy a sterner test, especially if you like plotting your way round rather than simply overpowering a course. That said, from the right tees it's still great fun for mid-handicappers who fancy the challenge.

Genuine championship golf comes no finer around Orlando than Bay Hill, where the 27-hole golf complex comprises 9-hole loops named the Champion, Challenger and Charger. The stunning club and lodge have been recently refurbished, ensuring that the onsite facilities are a match for Bay Hill's remarkable course.
At its peak, Bay Hill can be stretched to 7,381 yards and spans 270 acres of stunning land alongside the Butler Chain of Lakes. The game's greatest names pound the same fairways for the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and a golf holiday on one of the best courses in Orlando is your chance to experience a slice of the action.

Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill Club & Lodge has 70 air-conditioned guestrooms with a classic club feel, and plenty of nods to Palmer's legacy throughout. Rooms are comfortable and clubby, with Palmer memorabilia that reminds you where you are. Each room includes an in-room safe and Wi-Fi, with everything set up for golfers who want to stay on site and keep the logistics simple. You'll find a flat-screen TV in every room, and the whole place has that members' club atmosphere rather than a busy resort vibe.
Food and drink is a real part of the Bay Hill experience. The Grill & Classic Dining Rooms covers breakfast through to evening dining, ideal if your group wants to stay put after the round. The menu is varied and well executed, with everything from hearty breakfasts to refined evening meals that suit golfers who've spent the day battling the wind and water.
For views, head to The Bay Window overlooking the famous putting green and Rolex clock. It's the best spot in the house for a post-round bite, with lighter options like salads, sandwiches and brick-oven pizza, perfect while the scores are being debated and someone is inevitably replaying that approach into 18.
If you fancy a quieter end to the day, The Members Lounge is a cosy fireside spot for wine, beer and cocktails. It feels more like a private club than a busy resort bar, which is exactly the atmosphere Bay Hill is known for. It's the kind of place where you can sit back, relax and let the round settle before heading to dinner.
Away from the course, there are six tennis courts and a well-equipped gym. The big win here is convenience: you're sleeping where you're playing, with the clubhouse, practice areas and dining all close at hand. The practice facilities are excellent, with a proper range and short-game area where you can work on your wedges before heading out. For groups, that means you can roll out of bed, grab breakfast, warm up and be on the first tee without leaving the property, which makes the whole trip feel seamless.

It’s Arnie’s Place! Such a relaxed atmosphere, all the staff had your interests in mind, always attentive. Golf course was great, near had a bad lie and greens just rolled and rolled. Must visit, even if only once for any golf fan.

What can you say about about Bay Hill ! The place is outstanding, from the moment you arrive the staff are all over you being so helpful and wishing you an enjoyable time.... spending time in the bar at night with all the old photos surrounding you just captures your eyes as to everything about Mr Palmer and his career playing golf..... it was amazing..... The starter is first class, as one of our friends gave him some lines to say as he welcomed you onto the tee, this just made the day even more fun.... Out forecaddie Tripple “E” was brilliant, the course amazing, my 3rd visit and the best overall condition I’ve had yet, can’t see it being any better. The rooms of the lodges were first class, being excited to play the course we woke at 5:30 to sit on the balcony watching the sun come up with the army of staff working away preparing the course, great to see the green keepers hand mowing the greens.... Great time had by all

A fantastic hotel - service is consistently above expectation, and room size/comfort was excellent. It truly felt like a 'home from home', and proximity to International Drive, Disney and Universal were an added bonus.

Please see above notes under hotel, think I got carried away... Bay Hill is a stunning place and one I will go back to again and again.... Outstanding... Also to hear PGA and LPGA players had played on the course or had practised there on the same day we played tell you something about the place... Absolutely wonderful

A great 3 rounds on the course - different pin positions each day brought a new challenge. The first 3 holes were always tough, and the back 9 provided great course design...and more water - finishing with the iconic 18th hole. A fantastic experience!
