Renowned for hosting an unprecedented four Ryder Cups along with numerous European Tour events, The Brabazon offers a challenging experience for parkland golf enthusiasts. The course is consistently maintained to perfection, featuring exceptional greens.
The excitement often unfolds at the short par-4 10th hole and the captivating 18th. These holes have etched themselves into Ryder Cup history, highlighted by Seve’s legendary drive on the 10th, Sam Torrance’s iconic putt that clinched the Cup on the 18th in 1985, and Christie O’Connor’s stunning 2-iron shot over the lake at that same concluding hole.
The PGA National stands out as the sole PGA-branded golf course in England. It proudly hosts two European Tour Events and is meticulously maintained throughout the year. The course features an inland design that offers a variety of challenges, including water hazards and cleverly positioned bunkers. Golfers who conquer the 18 holes will require exceptional shot accuracy and a sharp eye for navigating the quick greens, ensuring a rewarding yet challenging experience for even the most skilled players.
The Derby Golf Course may not have the same level of fame as its renowned counterparts, but it offers a delightful golfing experience. Stretching 6099 yards with a par of 70, this course caters to players of all skill levels, featuring a mix of water hazards and cleverly designed risk-reward holes. While it may not be the longest course out there, The Derby challenges you to use strategy during your play. It serves as a refreshing alternative to The Brabazon and PGA National courses, making it a great choice for those enjoying a golfing getaway at the Belfry.
The Belfry is home to some of the finest practice facilities in the UK, centred around the PGA Golf Academy. Here, golfers can access world class tuition alongside state of the art technology designed to improve every aspect of their game.
The Academy features a 34bay floodlit driving range, an immaculate putting green and a dedicated short game area. Inside, golfers can explore four premium custom fit suites from leading brands; Ping, Callaway, Titleist and the TaylorMade Performance Lab, each offering expert fitting using advanced launchmonitor and video analysis systems.
Further specialist zones include the Zen Green Stage, Callaway Short Game area, and a VIP Suite, providing a toptier environment for personalised coaching, club fitting, and performance improvement.
Named in honour of Sam Torrance who famously holed the winning putt at The Belfry in 1985 and later captained Europe to victory here in 2002, Sam’s Bar & Kitchen is the perfect place to unwind after your round. Offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner, it delivers relaxed, quality dining alongside a lively social atmosphere.
Golfers can enjoy elevated seating with views across the courses, making it an ideal spot to watch players come up the 18th or take on the iconic tee shot at the 10th on the Brabazon. In the summer months, the terrace is the place to be, with al fresco drinks, great food, and a fire pit that keeps the experience going long after the sun sets.
Inside, guests can enjoy social gaming, including darts and shuffleboard, with live coverage of major sporting events shown throughout the venue, perfect for groups looking to keep the competitive spirit going.
Please note: Sam’s Bar & Kitchen operates on a walkin basis only, but with plenty of space available, you’re very likely to be accommodated.

One of the best and largest hotels I've stayed in the prices in Sam's bar were what I would expect to pay. The table service and food was first class, however it was very busy, With a group of 24 I would have liked the use of a private room to do our presentations in.

I cannot fault the staff + Restaurant/bars. Everything on this side was 5 stars and more. Everyone we spoke to was smiling, bubbly and more than happy to help which was a really nice touch. I'm talking from when we walked in, to pool area, on the golf course or other staff we bumped in to. The Pool area was a little bit dated with a few repairs going on. Loads of funny noises and high pitched sirens in the steam room and things like this but nothing that would stop me from coming back. What is going to stop me coming back is the rooms.. (I wasn't the only one to complain about this) but the rooms do not have air con??!?! Only the Apartments and other areas do. So, they give you a Dyson fan in the corner of the room. We have just got back from the Belfry and it has been a storm weather warning so the humidity was at it's highest so that didn't help. So, in a really hot room with the loudest fan meant next to no sleep and the next morning we had the tee time for the Brabazon which we booked the trip for. Instead of taking it all in, we had about two hours sleep and wanted to get home. If, the sleep and the room was up to standard, this trip would've been a strong 9.5 out of 10. What a let down.

Fabulous and golf royalty. Very friendly and organised. A vast complex and very busy with golf being just one of the events happening. Expensive if you want more than one beer... The practice facilities were just far enough away that none of us bothered. I did put on the same putting green I saw Seve put on in the 1993 Ryder Cup. Enough said.

Everything was excellent. The only small thing was the bar prices. Also a service charge was added and taken without my consent.

An underrated course in excellent condition and greens were superb. Minibus shuttle to and from the 1st tee was excellent and the staff very helpful and knowledgeable. We all preferred this course to the PGA National.

Everyone thinks the Brabazon is the hardest of the 3 courses on site its the most famous but PGA National is harder. The little touches were lacking for such a prestigious location, ball cleaners without water and loose tops etc. The biggest issue we had is that our group was split on the 1st of our 6 tee times meaning some of us couldn't play together, a complaint via the starter to the manager failed to rectify the situation and actually end up with the blame put squarely on YGT staff.

What can I say. Played two days after the British Mastered finished and it is the closest I will ever get to play at a Championship course in Championship conditions. The grandstands were all still up which gave you a feel of how many people would be there to watch Pro's which was a nice bonus. The course was stunning and I was stuck just starring at some points in disbelief. It is just a standard and level up from anything I have played on and you can tell why the DP tour is played here. Tricky planned out shots or it's trouble all around you. The greens are ridiculously quick and tricky but it is what you would expect I get. Will defo want to play again soon.
