Set on the site of an old banana plantation, Vincci La Plantación del Sur sits above Costa Adeje with cracking views out over Playa del Duque and the Atlantic. The look is classic Canarian colonial, think whitewashed walls, terracotta tiles, courtyards and plenty of shaded spots to escape the mid-day heat between rounds.

It's a great fit for golfers who want a bit of Tenerife luxury without being right in the thick of a busy beachfront strip. You're close enough to the coast for an easy taxi down to bars and restaurants, but far enough up the slope to feel tucked away when you're back at the hotel.

From a golf point of view, the location works nicely for the main southern courses. Golf Costa Adeje is the obvious one, and you can also get to Amarilla Golf and Golf del Sur without spending half your day in transfers. If your plan is to play a few different tracks over a long weekend or a week, this is a comfortable base to do it from, with proper downtime built in.

Who is this for?

Golfers who want a comfortable, good-looking base in Costa Adeje with a proper spa and quick access to the main southern Tenerife courses. Great for couples and small groups who like a calm hotel to come back to after a round.

Who is it best for?

Anyone planning a multi-course Tenerife break who values downtime as much as tee times, play in the morning, spa and pool in the afternoon, then a relaxed dinner without having to trek far.

Accommodation at Hotel Vincci Seleccion La Plantacion Del Sur

Rooms are spacious and geared towards comfort, with a private balcony or terrace so you can get some fresh air without leaving your room. Décor leans into that colonial style, with warm colours and quality finishes, and it generally feels quiet and restful, ideal after 18 holes in the sun.

Facilities are a big part of the appeal here. The 2,500 square metre spa is the star of the show, and it's exactly what you want on a golf break if you're playing back-to-back days, think thermal areas, treatment rooms and plenty of space to switch off. There's also a gym, sports facilities and five swimming pools spread through subtropical gardens, so it never feels like everyone's piled into the same spot.

Food and drink is covered by two restaurants and a couple of bars, giving you enough choice to keep things easy on-site on the nights you can't be bothered heading out. If you do fancy a change of scene, Costa Adeje is close by for more dining options.

The spa is worth mentioning again because it's genuinely comprehensive. If you're here to play multiple rounds in the week, having that kind of recovery space makes a real difference. The pools are spread out enough that you can find a quiet corner even when the hotel's busy, and the gardens provide natural shade and a bit of privacy.

Golf-wise, the hotel makes practical sense. You're within easy reach of the southern courses without being stuck in a resort complex where everything revolves around one or two tracks. That flexibility matters if you want to mix up your rounds and see a bit more of what Tenerife golf has to offer.

If you're travelling with a group, this is the sort of hotel that works for mixed priorities. The golfers get quick access to the courses, and anyone skipping a round still has proper pool and spa time to enjoy. Service is attentive without being intrusive, and the overall feel is smart and relaxed rather than formal or stuffy.
