Set in the heart of the Garden of England, Delta Hotels by Marriott Tudor Park Country Club is a smart shout for golfers who want a proper countryside reset without disappearing off the map. It's on the Maidstone side of Kent, so it works brilliantly for a quick escape from London and the South East, and once you're on site you've got everything you need in one place: championship golf, comfortable rooms, a spa and an indoor pool.

The vibe is relaxed rather than stuffy, which suits society groups and mixed trips where not everyone wants 36 holes and an early night. Play your golf, grab a bite in the Cast Iron Grill, then swap spikes for the sauna. And when the sun's out, you'll get those lovely, sweeping Kent countryside views that make it feel like more of a getaway than the drive suggests. Tudor Park sits just off Junction 8 of the M20, less than a mile from the motorway and well signposted once you're on the Ashford Road, so logistics are genuinely straightforward whether you're coming from the South East or further afield.

Who is this for?
Golfers based in London and the South East looking for a convenient overnight or weekend break that combines a solid parkland course with comfortable accommodation and leisure facilities. It suits societies, couples and small groups who want everything on one site without needing to drive between courses or hotels.

Who is it best for?
Mid to high handicappers who enjoy a strategic, tree-lined parkland layout that doesn't demand huge length, and anyone who values having a spa, pool and quality dining as part of the package. It's also ideal for mixed groups where not everyone is playing golf every day.

Tudor Park Golf Course

The course itself is not particularly long at 6,085 yards, but it was designed by the legendary golf architect Donald Steel, so what it lacks in length it makes up for in quality.

Accuracy is of paramount importance around Tudor Park, as the network of streams and the predominant mature wooded areas ensure that there is no shortage of obstacles.

Tudor Park boasts top-of-the-range practice and tuition facilities which are ideal for improving your game.

Accommodation at Delta Hotels by Marriott Tudor Park Country Club

The 120 guest rooms at Tudor Park are spread across the main hotel building and overlook either the championship course or the landscaped courtyard gardens. Each room comes with individual climate control, a comfortable work desk, luxury bedding and a modern en-suite bathroom. The décor is contemporary without being bland, warm tones and clean lines that make the rooms feel spacious and welcoming after a day on the course.

Standard rooms offer everything you need for a comfortable stay, with plenty of space to store golf kit and unwind. For those wanting a bit more room or a better view, the upgraded options provide larger floor plans and prime vistas over the fairways. Whichever room type you choose, you'll benefit from the same attentive service and access to all the hotel's facilities, including complimentary Wi-Fi throughout. The rooms have been refreshed in recent years, so everything feels current and well maintained, and the beds are genuinely comfortable, which matters when you're planning back-to-back rounds.

Storage is practical rather than luxurious, but there's enough wardrobe and surface space for a weekend trip, and the bathrooms are well appointed with good water pressure and decent toiletries. If you're travelling as a group or society, the hotel can accommodate larger parties across multiple room types, and the layout of the building means you're never too far from the bar or restaurant. It's the kind of place where you can settle in quickly, drop your bags and get straight out onto the course or into the spa without fuss.

Food & Drink

The Cast Iron Grill is the hotel's main restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with a menu built around classic English dishes. Expect well-executed steaks, seasonal mains, fresh fish and traditional Sunday roasts, all delivered in a relaxed, informal setting. The atmosphere is smart-casual, the kind of place where you can turn up in your golf gear for lunch or dress up a bit for dinner without feeling out of place. Breakfast is a proper cooked spread with continental options, so you can fuel up properly before heading out for an early tee time.

For something more laid-back, Zest Restaurant & Bar offers lighter bites, sandwiches, salads and sharing plates throughout the day, along with a solid drinks list and a chic lounge vibe. It's a flexible space that works equally well for a quick coffee, a casual lunch or pre-dinner drinks. The Brew Bar Lounge, located near the clubhouse, is the natural spot for golfers coming off the 18th. It serves a focused menu of bar snacks, burgers and pub classics alongside a well-stocked bar, and it's where you'll want to settle the bets and replay the round over a pint.

Leisure Facilities

The Fitness Centre includes an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, spa pool and a well-equipped gym, giving you plenty of options to loosen up before or after your round. The spa itself offers a full menu of treatments, from sports massages and deep-tissue work to facials, body wraps and beauty services. It's a proper facility rather than an afterthought, and it's particularly useful if you're travelling with non-golfers or want to add a bit of recovery and relaxation to your trip. There's also a crèche available, which makes Tudor Park a practical choice for families or groups with young children.

Tudor Park sits just off the M20 at Junction 8, less than a mile from the motorway and well signposted once you're on the Ashford Road. From the South East, it's a straightforward drive via the M25 and M20, and you're far enough out of the city to feel like you've properly escaped without spending half the day in the car. If you're coming by train, Maidstone East station is a 10-minute taxi ride away, with regular services to and from London Victoria taking around 50 minutes. The address is Ashford Road, Bearsted, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 4NQ. If you're building a short UK escape, Tudor Park is an easy one to include on your next golf break in Kent.

The drinks were a little expensive, especially the wine but I suppose this is expected from Hotel prices. Other than that we had a good 3 days

I cannot fault the accommodation, all staff were very helpful and check was efficiently done with no hiccups. The staff in the pro shop were particularly charming and helpful, and everyone in my group enjoyed their time there. The menu is rather limited and those who paid extra for steak thought it tough, but breakfast was excellent.

Excellent stay at Tudor Park for our golf group of 20. Reception was polite and very helpful. The rooms were very clean and the beds large and slept well. The golf course was in good condition with the greens being very good and very fast. The only negative was they we were all asked to fill in a pre order for dinner in the morning which we all did. When we sat down at 8pm the starter did not arrive until 8.50 then a 20 minute wait for our main course then an even longer wait for the pudding which one of our party was given the wrong choice and we had to go through the pre order sheets that we all filled out to confirm what he had ordered. Didn’t need all that. The amount of time we waited stopped us going out in the evening as it was now too late. Overall a good experience and we found all of the staff very helpful with the hotel rooms and hotel very nice.

As you'd expect, being a Marriot hotel, everything is in good condition and the staff in particular were really helpful - from check in at reception, through to the golf shop and the restaurant staff, nothing was too much trouble. Evening food was excellent with a huge range available at Breakfast too.

Our party of 10 players varied between a 2 handicap player and a 28 handicap player. Overall the course suited our party very well

Very attractive course, with lovely trees, and we all enjoyed it as not a manicured course, perhaps the grass on fairways were on the long side, but understand with the weather conditions that it was wise not to cut too short, greens were in excellent condition, but quite slow. Help was efficiently given with boards being put out for Longest drive an nearest pin, and the Starter was helpful and friendly. All in all very enjoyable.

Very nice course design, a great challenge, but open enough for all handicaps to enjoy. Many angled fairways makes for some tough second shots. Unfortunately though the organisation of the pro shop was a disappointment. We had reserved two buggies on two consecutive days two weeks prior and were told they were available and to confirm on the day. However on the day we were told that their had been a misunderstanding with your golf travel and it transpired that we were offered complimentary pull carts instead. This would usually have been fine but we had an elderly gent with us and this caused problems. We were told by another member of staff that this was a common occurrence due to a software problem in the pro shop. So my advice is to double double check if you really need a buggy at this golf course.

Enjoyable course with fast greens. Tee boxes could be a bit tidier but it’s a hotel course and it’s to be expected. Tee masters very helpful and quite strict on dress. Refused a member as he was wearing cargo shorts. Proper attire only. Some really challenging holes and not many easy ones.

I like this course, there are some very interesting holes and it is a course for all standards, at this time of the year a bit bear and the fairways have not recovered from our fabulous summer. Greens were not the greatest, hollow timing was evident and the greens were quite bumpy to say the least, but again time of year doesn’t help. Would like to play it again in the Spring / summer.

Greens in great condition despite rain, fairways were fine despite heavy rain in the days before. Loads of leaves but not much you can do about that!

Quite a few blind tee shots, which for mid-high handicappers who were unfamiliar with the course, made it a little daunting! A few times, what appeared to be good shots from the tee were actually in trouble, but by the second round, we knew where more of the misses were and adjusted accordingly. Greens and overall course condition was excellent. Greens on the whole are tight with most well guarded, but a nice range of holes across a course that did seem busy but flowed well on both days. Range was good, but bear in mind it is only a 200 yard range, so irons only and I'd have preferred to have been able to knock some rust off the driver before taking on the course!
