Salgados Golf Course
This wonderful golf course has been sympathetically built into a protected wildlife area, where many rare bird species make their home. Salgados has a tremendous variety of holes, ensuring that it is an intriguing test for golfers of all abilities.
The layout has, in fact, a distinct links feel to it, but it features an intricate network of lakes and streams. Along with the 13th, the signature hole is arguably the first, where there is no easy opening - golfers must thread the ball onto a fairway bordered on both sides by threatening water features.
Signature hole: Hole 1, par 4
The signature hole is arguably the first, where there is no easy opening - golfers must thread the ball onto a fairway bordered on both sides by threatening water features. In addition to this, the beautiful par 5 6th hole is said to be on of the hardest holes in the game of golf with plenty of water lining the fairways and when the wind is blowing it can play very long.

I love this course. Can’t get out of trouble here by hitting a long drive. Water everywhere. Greens here weren’t as good as last year due to disease but still true and quick

This course is attached to the hotel complex but is still a good walk with clubs so make sure you take your bag strap as there is no transport from the complex. It seemed to us they were cramming as many on the course as they possibly could. It was absolutely rammed which made getting any rythmn going impossible. Everyone was waiting for everyone and because there is so much water people were taking 2 off the tee if they put the first one in ( and a lot were doing this especially our group ! ) The Fairways were better than the Morgado and Alamos but they had the same problems with the greens. The upside was it only took us 10 mins to get back to the hotel complex instead of the 90 mins wait at the other 2😁
