Tucked into the hillside just west of Palma, Real Golf de Bendinat is the sort of course where I always have a quick look around before pulling a club. The views alone are worth the trip. The layout winds through a wooded landscape, with fairways framed by mature trees and plenty of elevation change to keep things interesting. From a few points on the course you'll spot Palma Bay below and Bendinat Castle sitting proudly above the property.
Measuring around 6,200 yards from the back tees, this par-70 doesn't try to overpower you with length. It's a more thoughtful test where placement matters, fairways can tilt and the trees ask you to shape shots rather than simply swing away. The slopes and tree lines make club selection interesting, especially when fairways fall away and leave you playing from a hanging lie. Bunkers are positioned to catch anything slightly loose and the greens tend to reward precision more than power.
With the climbs between holes, I'd seriously consider a buggy, especially if you're planning more than one round in a day. The upside is Mallorca's year-round golfing weather, so Bendinat is an easy pick for a short break, a winter escape or a Palma-based golf tour.
It also sits in excellent company. Santa Ponsa, Son Vida, Son Quint and Golf Son Muntaner are all within 15 minutes, which makes it simple to build a varied Mallorca itinerary without spending half the day in the car.
Who is this for?
Golfers looking for a scenic, strategic test in the hills above Palma, with enough variety and challenge to keep mid-to-low handicappers engaged and enough charm to appeal to anyone who values views and course character over pure yardage.
Who is it best for?
Players who enjoy target golf, shaping shots around trees and navigating elevation, and those building a Mallorca break around multiple courses in the Palma area who want something different from the flatter resort layouts nearby.

The original nine holes were put in place by the esteemed Martin Hawtree in 1986, and the layout was completed a decade later with the addition of the second nine-hole loop.
The par-70 course is a rewarding challenge for every golfer, winding through the spectacular trees, and is well worth a visit as part of any golfing holiday in Mallorca.

This was a nice course and well laid out, Lots of hills between the holes, but most holes were flat or rolling. Greens were good but we found them the slowest of all the courses we played. A few blind shots that were only an issue as we were playing course for the first time, if we went back id play course again. Welcome was friendly and staff were good.

We arrived at the coarse to find over booked the tee times so had a hour delay also had to wait on all the holes to tee off and again during each shot there was a delay so the whole round would have taken around 5 hours to complete so we stopped after nine holes, also as the buggie path is away from the fair ways you have walk to every shot leaving the buggie on the path way which make it a slower round i would play this course again, regards Sid shaw

good course for mid handicappers. Try and play off the whites otherwise the course is very short.

Not really a golf course more like a goat track in fact we saw live goats on the course who seemed more at home than we golfers. Quite frankly a tricked up course with so may blind tee shots we all found it a trial and not enjoyable.
The course is located West of Palma airport, just a 20 minute drive away. Golfers tend to either stay in Santa Ponsa (15 minutes away) or Palma itself (20 minutes).
It is a par-70 with many different tree-lined and different elevation changes throughout. Whilst the golf course isn't that long, it is very testing against for all handicaps.
