Hotel Las Madrigueras Golf Resort & Spa is one of those Tenerife favourites that quietly gets it right for golfers. It sits right on the edge of Golf Las Américas, so you're not piling into taxis or juggling tee time transfers. You can walk out, get warmed up and get on with the job.

The big draw here is the boutique feel. With 44 rooms and 13 suites, it's small by Tenerife resort standards and that shows in the service. If you like a hotel where the team remembers your tee time and you don't feel like just another room number, you'll be very comfortable here.

You're also well placed for a proper Tenerife golf break. Golf Las Américas is on the doorstep and there are other strong options nearby if you want to mix up the week rather than replay the same track every day. Add in a solid spa for post-round recovery and a couple of dining options on-site, and it's a tidy package for couples and small groups who want convenience without the crowds.

Who is this for?

Golfers looking for a quieter, grown-up base in Tenerife with direct access to Golf Las Américas and easy links to other courses.

Who is it best for?

Couples and small groups who want boutique service, straightforward logistics and a relaxed, low-fuss golf week in the sun.

Accommodation at Hotel Las Madrigueras Golf Resort & Spa

Rooms are a strong point at Las Madrigueras. The hotel keeps things intimate, so you're not trekking across a sprawling complex with your clubs. With 44 rooms and 13 suites, everything is close by and the atmosphere stays calm, even in peak season.

All rooms are comfortably sized and most come with views over the golf course or the pool area. You have the practical essentials covered for a golf trip, including telephone, wireless internet access, satellite television, minibar, safe and 24-hour room service. There's also enough space to live out of a suitcase properly, which matters when you have shoes, rain gear and the usual post-round laundry routine.

If you're staying longer, or travelling as a pair with two sets of clubs, the suites are the sensible upgrade. You get extra space to spread out your kit and you don't feel like you're playing Tetris with luggage every time you come back from the course.

Off the room, the spa is where many golfers end up after 18 holes. Expect a Turkish bath, jacuzzi and sauna, plus a menu of massages that suits golfers who have walked the course in warm conditions. It's the kind of facility that makes back-to-back rounds feel a lot more manageable the next morning.

Food and drink is easy. There are two on-site restaurants for everything from a quick refuel to a more settled evening meal, plus a Piano Bar if you fancy a quieter drink and a chat about the day's scorecard. The pool area gives non-golfing partners or rest-day loungers somewhere to go, and the compact layout means everything, spa, restaurants, bar and course, sits within easy walking distance. For golfers prioritising convenience and recovery over scale and crowds, it's a tidy, golfer-friendly base that keeps the week simple.

Very nice superb no fault

Very comfortable rooms, excellent breakfasts and dinner with reasonable wine prices. Pleasant position and very good pool area and sun beds. Staff exceptional. Good reasonably priced taxis. Reception willing to recommend local restaurants as well. Unfortunately we had to use the local Hospiten Sur for one of our party a few miles away- absolutely first class attention over a week for one of our party.

Not quite 5 star but the staff do their best and are very helpful. The restaurant is really lovely, food delicious. Very good set up for golfers.

Exactly as you'd expect from a five star resort. All luggage delivered to our room on arrival. Friendly check-in where we were given keys to personal lockers for golf equipment and a buggy key, as the hotel kept its own buggies that could be used at any time for travel between the hotel and the course. The room was large with a beautiful veranda overlooking the golf course. All facilities in the room were of high quality and maintained daily. The pool area was spotless with comfortable sunbeds with towels provided. The restaurants and bars were a little pricey but no more than you might expect on a resort hotel. The inclusive breakfast was ample and covered everyone's taste from cooked breakfasts to cold meats, cereals and fruits. Transfers from the airport were only around twenty minutes and cost 30euros. The downside for us is that the hotel is used predominantly by retirees (in our late forties we were still the youngest group by twenty-plus years!!!). This hotel would definitely not suit young or lively groups as there are strict dress codes and noise policies in place. You could not play your own music by the pool, even a mobile phone on low volume!! I believe this hotel would best suit people looking for a quiet stay at a resort hotel away from the night life. I would consider returning again but not for at least twenty years!

This is a very welcoming and high quality hotel. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, and the bathrooms are well equipped. The staff are all very friendly and courteous without being overbearing. The menu has plenty of choice and the breakfasts and dinners are very good. The hotel has direct access to the Las Americas golf course. This is a superb place to stay for a golf holiday.

A wonderful hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the layout was well thought out. Down the lift, clubs from the locker room, loadthe buggy and off you go! The golf course was very fair ( although I could not read the greens all week- fast with very subtle borrows). We got taxis down to Critianos and they were about €5 a time but we did get charged €8 on one occasion and the cab drivers do need watching! Food in the hotel and golf club was very good. Evening meal with wine about €55 each. I look forward to going again!
