The Carrick golf course at Cameron House on Loch Lomond is one of Scotland's newest and finest championship standard golf courses and, arguably, the country's most breath-taking round. Sympathetically designed in keeping with its position within Scotland's first National Park, the par 71 course follows a traditional Scottish heathland style and, uniquely, straddles the rolling Lowlands and majestic Highlands of Scotland. While the blank canvas that was presented to Canadian designer Doug Carrick was outstanding, the architect justified his burgeoning reputation by formulating a majestic course. Stretched along the Loch Lomond shoreline, the course is bordered by delightful banks of heather and gorse, which are typical of this classically Scottish landscape.
Despite its low-lying situation, the course drains remarkably well thanks to its state-of-the-art construction, a fact that has been reflected in the Carrick already having hosted the best European ladies for a fully sanctioned European Tour event.

The Wee Demon is a fantastic course for novices, while also providing endless fun for seasoned players aiming to refine their short game and putting abilities. As you navigate the course, you'll meander through the opulent lodges, facing numerous cleverly positioned sand traps and water hazards. With each hole, this course presents a genuine challenge to your focus and skill.
Following a major renovation, the historic baronial mansion now houses 208 bedrooms, including 28 suites, all finished to a high standard with contemporary Scottish styling and views across the estate or loch. Rooms are spacious and well-appointed, with comfortable king or twin set-ups, modern bathrooms, flat-screen TVs, complimentary Wi-Fi and tea and coffee facilities. Unfortunately the course was very wet and we could not use the buggies we had ordered. Six of the ten were given power carts and four had push carts which slowed play and tired us out. We only played 9 holes. We were a group of 10 older women with bad knees and hips and could not manage to walk 18. We were disappointed but understood why the buggies were not allowed. Our shoes were soaked. The views were lovely. The restaurant in the clubhouse offered wonderful food and service.
