Belvoir Park Golf Club

Founded in 1927, Belvoir Park Golf Club is a championship parkland layout that's earned its reputation as The Best Parkland Course in Ulster. Set just south of Belfast, it has hosted the Irish Open and the Irish PGA Championship, so you know the test is the real deal, but the welcome is refreshingly down to earth.

What to expect

This is classic parkland golf where accuracy beats brute force. The tree-lined fairways put a premium on finding position from the tee, with bunkering and the odd water hazard asking the question on approach. The greens tend to run true, so pace control becomes part of the challenge, and there are enough subtle breaks to reward a confident read.

Why include it on a Belfast break

Belvoir Park is a strong option if you want pedigree without the 'members-only' vibe some championship venues can carry. It's challenging enough for low handicappers, but still fair if you keep the ball in play. The routing flows naturally through the parkland, with a mix of demanding par 4s, risk-reward moments and holes where placement matters more than power.

If you're building a Northern Ireland itinerary, it's an easy add alongside Belfast's bars, restaurants and the city's other top courses. Include Belvoir Park on your next Belfast golf break and we'll help you line up tee times and the right base in the city.

Who is this for? Golfers visiting Belfast who want a proper championship parkland course with tournament history and a friendly feel.

Who is it best for? Mid-to-low handicappers who enjoy strategic golf and value a top-class layout close to the city.
